What is the breaking strength & weight of Dynamica Lashings?

What is the elongation of Dynamica Lashings?

Dynamica Lashings have low elongation and low creep which make them a safe alternative to steel wire.

In case of break, the lashings’ low mass and elongation results in the energy being distributed along the rope’s entire length in a linear fashion with a relatively low recoil. Whereas, steel wire is known for lashing out endangering riggers and equipment.

Are Dynamica Lashings rotation free?

Dynamica Lashings have a torque-neutral construction, which means that “snaking”, bird caging and kinking is not an issue, which is a common problem with steel wire ropes.

Do & don’t

Do not use Dynamica Lashings over rusty surfaces and sharp edges as this can lead to cuts, abrasion rope abuse and splice damages. To ensure long service life ensure all surfaces are in proper condition.

How to cover & protect Lashings?

Want longer service life? Protect your rope with a cover!

With a cover, Dynamica Lashings become even more abrasion resistant. We recommend that the lashings are covered in the eyes and other bearing points. For some operations, we recommend a cover on rope’s entire length.

Dynamica Lashings are frequently covered with Cordura, polyester or Dyneema®.

We advise you on the choice of cover.

What to look for while inspecting Dynamica Lashings?

Dynamica Lashings should be inspected frequently in order to ensure safe use and long service life. During an inspection always look for signs of:

  • Rope construction damage

  • Cover damage

  • Abrasion

  • Inconsistent diameter
