Applications
Static drone recovery nets
A suspended recovery net allows UAVs to land safely without a runway - the drone flies into the net at low speed, which absorbs the impact and brings it to a controlled stop. This enables drone operations in confined spaces, on ships, or in forward operating locations where a prepared landing strip is not available.
The low weight and small pack size of Dyneema® netting makes the entire recovery system easy to transport and rapid to set up. The net maintains its shape and weight in rain, snow or sea spray - critical for consistent recovery geometry - and holds up to repeated impact loads without degrading.
Overhead area protection
Nets suspended over trenches, open storage, vehicle parks, or personnel areas provide passive protection against FPV drones, loitering munitions, and dropped ordnance. The net either snags and deflects an incoming threat or disrupts the flight path enough to prevent a direct hit on the target below.
Dyneema® netting covers large areas at a fraction of the weight of conventional netting - making it viable to protect broader zones with the same logistics footprint. The reduced twine diameter also means less wind loading, so large overhead spans are more stable in exposed locations.
Payload carrying under drones
Cargo nets slung beneath a drone allow equipment, supplies, or materials to be transported without a rigid container. Weight is the critical constraint for drone payloads, and a Dyneema® net adds minimal mass of its own leaving maximum capacity for the cargo itself.
The small twine diameter reduces aerodynamic drag, which improves the stability of the suspended load during flight and lowers power consumption on the drone platform.

Why choose Dynamica netting?
Strength where it counts
HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) is the strongest synthetic fibre available by weight. Dyneema® is the premium grade used throughout defence, offshore, and safety industries for applications where failure is not an option. Our netting delivers the same material performance in net form - proof that strength does not have to mean weight.
Weight is a tactical advantage
Netting made with Dyneema® is up to a third of the weight of nylon netting at equivalent. For drone payload nets, that means more capacity for cargo. For recovery and protection nets, it means systems that can be carried, deployed, and repositioned by small teams without heavy equipment.
Reduced drag, better aerodynamic performance
Smaller twine diameters are a direct consequence of using a higher-strength fibre, you need less material to achieve the same load rating. For payload nets, this means less drag on the drone during flight. For overhead protection nets, it means lower wind loading across large spans, improving stability and reducing anchor forces.
Zero water absorption - consistent in any conditions
HMPE does not absorb water. When delpoyed in rain, snow, or at sea it does not gain weight and change shape, making recovery geometry predictable and minimiging payload penalty. A Dyneema® net maintains the same weight and geometry wet as it does dry, ensuring consistent performance and predictable handling in any conditions. Combined with a working temperature range down to –100°C, this makes our netting particularly well suited even to arctic and maritime operations.
Neutrally buoyant - easy to recover
HMPE is neutrally buoyant in water. A net that enters the water floats on the surface. It stays accessible, making recovery fast and straightforward. For maritime and coastal drone operations, this is a practical advantage.
Built to last under repeated use
Dyneema® netting has very good fatigue resistance, maintaining its strength and integrity through repeated loading and deployment cycles. Combined with high abrasion resistance, the net holds up in demanding field conditions against rough surfaces, edges, and the friction of regular use, without degrading at the rate of conventional netting materials.
NIR absorbing coating — engineered for optical performance
Our netting is available with an advanced NIR (near-infrared) absorbing coating applied directly to the yarn.
By integrating the coating technology directly into the yarn rather than applying it as a surface treatment after net construction, performance is consistent across the entire structure and holds up through repeated use and deployment.
Made to order
We do not hold stock nets. Every net is manufactured to your specification - mesh size, net dimensions, twine diameter, and colour. This means you get exactly what your application requires, not a compromise.
