Why choose Dynamica DM20?
If your operation requires a rope with low creep and low elongation.
Dynamica DM20 ropes are an alternative to steel wires or aramids for applications where the ropes are permanently under tension. For this type of operation, stability and low weight are critical and the DM20 offers exactly that.
If you need higher strength, choose Dynamica SK75, SK78 or SK99.
What is the breaking strength & weight of Dynamica DM20?
The Dynamica DM20 ropes are produced with HMPE/Dyneema® and have outstanding creep resistance. The development of the low creep means that DM20 has a slightly lower strength performance compared with SK75 and SK78.
Dynamica DM20 is up to 10 times lighter than steel wire.
These characteristics ensuring the following advantages:
Easier rigging
Decrease in handling speed
Less resources required
Fewer riggers and less equipment required
ROV handling possible
Overall cost savings

What is the elongation of Dynamica DM20?
Dynamica DM20 is a 12 strand non rotating braided rope with an outstanding creep resistance.
Dynamica DM20 is produced with Dyneema® DM20 fibres meaning these ropes are extremely length stable even under tension from millions of cycles and over many years.
Is Dynamica DM20 rotation free?
Yes, Dynamica DM20 has a torque-neutral construction, which means that “snaking”, bird caging and kinking is not an issue, which is a common problem with steel wire ropes.
Do & don’t
Dynamica DM20 is used only for engineered purposes often in the most challenging conditions.
Do not use the DM20 over rusty surfaces and sharp edges as this can lead to cuts, abrasion rope abuse and splice damages.
To attain long service life ensure all surfaces are in proper condition.
How to cover & protect Dynamica DM20?
Want longer service life? Protect your rope with a cover!
We recommend that DM20 ropes are covered in the eyes, bearing points and on the entire length. The cover can be braided or woven made of polyester, Cordura or Dyneema®.
For some operations, we recommend applying a mud and sand filter in order to protect the rope during the many service years.
We assist you in choosing the cover for your DM20 rope.

What to look for while inspecting Dynamica DM20?
Regular inspections ensure a long service life and keep the total cost of ownership down. Inspect DM20 ropes before every operation looking for the following signs:
Rope construction damage
Cover damage
Abrasion
Inconsistent diameter
